Job Description & Summary

A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You’ll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC’s brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.

We are looking for a creative technical professional who is passionate about delivering innovation in customer relationship management, marketing automation and personalization with cutting edge marketing technology. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver the technology to take PwC Canada’s marketing and sales to the next level.

As part of our Marketing, Communications & Sales team, the Senior Manager, Marketing Technology leads, maintains and grows our marketing technology stack supporting retention and acquisition capabilities. This role requires a strong marketing technology background, project management skills and an understanding of digital marketing. A thorough understanding of product and change management, systems administration, and user experience best practices and a recognition of opportunities for improvement for marketing technology will be essential for success.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for maintaining the business architecture of marketing technology solutions and managing the roadmap to provide PwC staff with the best possible user experience. The Senior Manager leverages relationships with PwC Global to understand the platforms available, and advise on the Canadian perspective. Responsibilities include:

Program & Project Management



  • Lead technology recommendations and implementations based on Canadian firm priorities ensuring that it meets requirements of the Global technology environments
  • Work with internal IT, Risk & independence and Global Teams to flush out an implementation strategy that aligns to global and local requirements, and meets the business and user needs. 
  • Manage cross functional teams of SMEs towards major project timelines
  • Manages vendors in implementation and as ongoing service providers once implemented
  • Collaborate across functions within the business and influence different stakeholders both within Canada and globally
  • Leadership

  • Accountable for overall leadership and operational excellence of an eight-person team including quality, efficiency and effectiveness of work, and internal group processes and performance
  • Coaching and oversight of team members, including guidance for career and skills development
  • Provide strategic leadership to the business by translating technology into platform recommendations
  • Change and Adoption Strategy 

  • Responsible for change and adoption strategy across all solutions, leveraging analytics data to determine effectiveness of usage and opportunities for improvement
  • Acts as marketing technology stack subject matter expert and support training of the Marketing, Communications and Sales teams on new technologies to drive adoption
  • Represent the end user for each product and what the benefits are
  • Consider overall user experience, business goals and objectives
  • Marketing Technology Roadmap 

  • Pulls from global, peers, business, user requirements and user experience to inform platform roadmap
  • Plans resourcing to appropriately staff both operational activities for platforms and upcoming projects
  • Defines usability, change management, stakeholder engagement for all platforms
  • Takes a broad view of the business, industry, and consumer environment to anticipate changes, process re-engineering and technical innovations
  • Ability to bring cross-functional groups together, set objectives and achieve goals

    Requirements:

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in digital marketing technology (CRM / Acquisition)  with a t least 5+ years’ experience in leading / managing teams
  • Relevant undergraduate degree in an area such as information technology, marketing, sales, information management & architecture, marketing technology, sales technology or digital marketing
  • Strong knowledge of marketing technology ecosystems and platforms
  • Experience working with a wide range of technology solutions including the Salesforce suite (Sales, Marketing, Community Clouds, Einstein) and Alteryx
  • Proven working experience in leading Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • In-depth understanding of the typical use cases of Digital Marketing Platform implementations 
  • Works with industry associations to keep up with trends and best practices
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to distil complex technological concepts and articulate clear communication to various stakeholders across the organization
  • Role requires frequent communication with the business to understand their requirements, with SMEs (including peers’ teams) to vet possible recommendations, and work through implementation. This communication is mostly collaborative, but sometimes involves influencing to make key decisions to move a project forward
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Regular communication with key impacted stakeholders for approvals, from a budget, process, resource perspective. These communications require a lot of influencing and negotiation skills.
  • A strong understanding of client needs and client service. Manages vendors that are involved in project implementation on a regular basis throughout projects
  • Strong project management skills, excellent organizational skills, high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities and conflicting agendas
